G. Riley Mills

G. Riley Mills is the author of two award-winning children's books:Sawdust and Spangles (Harry N. Abrams) and A Nutty Nutcracker Christmas (Chronicle Books) the latter of which was profiled inUSA Today. The stage version of A Nutty Nutcracker Christmas was recently published by Samuel French and will be produced by Universal Orlando at Orlando Repertory Theatre in November 2011. His newest book, The Pin Drop Principle, will be published by Jossey Bass/John Wiley in 2012.

Mills and his frequent collaborator, Grammy-nominated children's musician Ralph Covert, have twice been awarded the Joseph Jefferson Citation for Best New Work. Their acclaimed musical,The Hundred Dresses, enjoyed a successful run in 2009 at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago and was remounted in 2010 at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, Illinois.
