Bookwallah currently accepts donated new and gently used English-language storybooks for Bookwallah libraries and programs. The Bookwallah Organization has the following general guidelines for collecting children's story books:

Quality: We ask that you consider the type of children’s storybooks you sent. The quality of the books received and read by the children of the orphanages is highly correlated to continued interest in reading.

Guidelines for Types of Books Needed

Children’s books with basic text and, plenty of pictures for early reading. Examples are: That’s Not My Puppy, Good Night Moon, Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Children’s storybooks - second level. Examples are: Curious George, Dr. Seuss
Children’s Classics
Early English Language Books- ABCs, 123s for younger children ages 5 - 10
Easy beginner's novels for older kids ages 12 - 17

We do not accept

Religious books
Magazines
Text books or study related materials such as study guides etc.
Books not appropriate for young children

Shipping Instructions

In the United States, the U.S. post office offers a Media Mail rate where a 30 lb box of books (40-60) can be shipped for approximately $14 U.S.D.
