Library of Journey

This is our shipping container library which was established in 2020 at Snehwan. It is the first Library in India built out of a container. It is our rural project. They come from family of farmers who have committed suicide and from poor social economic backgrounds. They are underprivileged and deprived of learning due to adverse situations and surroundings. BW conducts 10 sessions in a year every Sunday which consists of curated session plans socio-emotional well being. Our library is open for them 24/7 which provides with an environment of safety and hope for the children.

Jungle Book Library

This library is situated in SOS home and was built in 2011. It consists of boys and girls who have been orphaned or abandoned by their guardians. This harsh reality can have multiple impacts on these children at emotional and behavioral level. For example – anger issues, trust issues, unable to express, violent behavior and so on.

BW has 40 sessions in a year every Sunday of curated session plans socio-emotional well being. Our library is open for them 24/7 which provides with an environment of safety and hope for the children. 

Phoenix Rising Library

The project was launched in 2014. The home shelters children  who are living with HIV/AIDS and offers them institution based care and support. Most of these children have been neglected, shunned and ostracized by their own families due to the stigma attached to HIV/AIDS. In consequence to the stigma around the chronic illness and social isolation the children pose a range of psychosocial challenges like anxiety, ADHD, depression, mood swings, social phobia, low self-esteem etc.

BW has 40 sessions in a year every Saturday which consists of curated session plans socio-emotional well being. Our library is open for them 24/7 which provides with an environment of safety and hope for the children. 

Lotus Library

This project was set up in 2019. It consists of children of farmers who have committed suicide and also covid orphans. They have been highly exposed to uncertainties and crave for hope and assurance.

Library of Dreams

Library of Dreams was established in 2019 within the premises of Sanmati bal Niketan which is an orphanage.
