Sunshine Library

The Library here was established in 2012. The home shelters girls, aged 18 months to 18 years, who are living with HIV/AIDS and offers them institution based care and support. Most of these children have been neglected, shunned and ostracized by their own families due to the stigma attached to HIV/AIDS. In consequence to the stigma around the chronic illness and social isolation the children pose a range of psychosocial challenges like anxiety, ADHD, depression, mood swings, social phobia, low self-esteem etc.

BW conducts 40 sessions in a year every Sunday which consists of curated session plans socio-emotional well being. Our library is open for them 24/7 which provides with an environment of safety and hope for the children.
